All absences must be submitted a minimum of 7 days (aka a week) in advance. Emergency absences should be communicated to the Academy office as soon as possible. Any absences impacting chamber/ensemble coachings and rehearsals MUST be communicated directly to your coach and group as well as on this form. Private lessons changes are to be arranged directly with your teacher.
Taylor Academy students are required to perform for the community each semester. All submissions will be reviewed by Academy staff. Students will be notified if their submission is not accepted.
Submission Deadlines: Fall (January 7, 2019), Spring (May 5, 2019)
The Royal Conservatory is pleased to make recording spaces and services available to Taylor Academy students, subject to availability. All requests must be submitted online. Professional recording services can be booked with a professional video/audio engineer for a fee. Students may also book a room to self record using the RCM's digital video recorders at no cost.

Review our list of Master Classes. Things to know before you apply for master classes:
- You must have your teacher's permission to apply for master classes - please discuss with them before submitting an application.
- Junior Master Class performers may present works in progress. Senior Master Class performers must present performance-ready works.
- For best chance at accessing your preferred classes, we strongly recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible as available spots will be very limited.
Things to know before you apply for a Showcase Concert:
- You must include your proposed repertoire as this is considered during programming
- You are responsible for contacting and booking your own accompanist
- Students are welcome to apply for as many Showcase Concerts as they wish. Every effort will be made to ensure any student who wishes to perform and is well-prepared to perform is programmed in at least one Showcase over the academic year
- Your private teacher/coach will automatically receive an emailed copy of your application
Piano students may apply to perform on 3 special Piano-themed concerts throughout the year. The December and April concerts will also include Senior Piano Duos performances; students in the class are not required to apply and will be programmed automatically.
String students may apply to perform in a special String-themed concert.
Most Taylor Academy performances are recorded and will be emailed to performers via Dropbox within two weeks of the performance. Dropbox links will be available for one month, after which time, delivery of recordings must be requested via our online order form for a nominal fee. If you would like to get a copy of your performance at a recent concert, go to the order form to order a digital copy or DVD. Each order is $5 for the first recording, and $2 for additional copies or performances in the same order.
